The well-known Cross of the Fallen, erected in the center of Alicante, suffered a vandal attack over this weekend, forcing the Alicante City Council to repair it in just a few hours. The Urban Mobility and Local Police departments proceeded past noon this Monday to close Condes de Soto Ameno Avenue, a main artery from San Blas to Doctor Rico, due to a road collapse caused by an underground pipeline rupture affecting traffic and urban bus lines 5 and 12. Read the full story.

Starting Tuesday, October 1st, it will be possible to receive A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 Valencian titles. This was announced by the President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, who assures that "more than 337,000 people will be able to obtain by justice, without bureaucracy and at no cost, automatic certification of Valencian recognition". The Generalitat has presented its ambitious plan to relaunch the industry in the Community. The Consell will invest about 2 billion euros from budgets over the next four years to increase this sector's weight in regional GDP from the current 14.8% to 20%, set as a target. Read the full story.
