Hércules Faces Third Week of Preseason Awaiting Schedule and First Friendly Match
The Alicante team will learn on Tuesday where they will start the season and will face Villarreal B on Friday
Hércules is entering its third week of training. After a free weekend and surpassing 6,500 season ticket holders, Rubén Torrecilla's team faces an exciting week in which they will learn the schedule for their return to the now-defunct Segunda División B.
On Tuesday, July 23 at 1:30 PM, the match order for the 2024-2025 Primera RFEF season will be announced at the RFEF headquarters in Las Rozas.
It has been two and a half months without football at the Rico Pérez since that unforgettable morning on May 5 when they secured promotion against Lleida. There is a strong desire to see Torrecilla's second project leading the Alicante team.
The league kicks off in a month, specifically on the weekend of August 24 and 25. During this period, Hércules will play a total of six friendly matches.
The first of these will take them to Villarreal's José Manuel Llaneza Sports City to face a potential direct rival in the fight for promotion, Villarreal B, recently relegated from Segunda División.
The first preparation match will be played next Friday, July 26 at 7 PM on field 9 of Villarreal's extraordinary training center. According to the Castellón team, entry is reserved "exclusively for Villarreal season ticket holders for the 2024-2025 season."
The rest of the confirmed friendly matches for the Alicante team are as follows: Águilas (July 30), Deportivo Alavés (August 2), CD Castellón (August 9), CD Alcoyano (August 14), and Real Murcia (August 17).
