El Corredor Mediterráneo estará listo en el 2027. Así lo ha asegurado este viernes el ministro de Transportes, Óscar Puente, quien ha puesto fecha al AVE que conectará las tres provincias de la Comunitat Valenciana. Las previsiones del Gobierno es que en dos años un tren de alta velocidad regional conecte Castellón, Valencia y Alicante.
Moreover, the Transport Ministry is also considering the possibility of stops in Xàtiva, Villena, Orihuela, Elche, or Sagunto. With the works on the second mixed-gauge track between Valencia and Castellón expected to be completed by 2025, only the La Encina section remains unfinished, which would enable high-speed travel between Alicante and Valencia. Puente has assured that it will be completed within a year and a half.
