The New Season of MasterChef Begins Filming in Alicante

The new season of MasterChef is set to begin. RTVE's show will air its first episode of the 13th season this Monday night on La 1. The show will start at 10:50 PM.

One of the novelties of this new season of MasterChef is the recent filming in the city of Alicante. The show has taken advantage of the gastronomic capital status to move its teams and participants, along with the renowned jury.

Last Wednesday, Pepe Rodríguez, Jordi Cruz, and Samantha Vallejo-Nájera arrived in Alicante to challenge the participants in an outdoor test, one of the audience's favourite moments.

The crew gathered at two iconic locations in Alicante. Thus, the 25th of May Square, behind the Central Market, and the Postiguet beach served as the backdrop for the iconic and anticipated MasterChef, whose new season starts this Monday.

For now, RTVE has released an exclusive preview of this new season. Various moments, contestants, celebrity guests, and locations offer a glimpse of this edition of MasterChef. However, the city of Alicante remains distant.

This trailer features other nearby municipalities, such as Valencia, showcasing panoramic views of the 'cap i casal' with the City of Arts and Sciences in front of an imposing Micalet; and others further afield, like the recordings in Cantabria. Also, the kitchens of the event Madrid Fusión.

Alongside all this, numerous MasterChef participants appear, some quite peculiar. Among them, a 75-year-old tiktoker, a police officer from the GEO, a priestess representing the goddess Tanit from Ibiza, or a kundalini yoga teacher.

And not only that, many familiar faces will also appear in this new season of MasterChef, such as Raquel Sánchez Silva, Eduardo Casanova, Los Morancos, La Terremoto de Alcorcón, Yolanda Ramos, Silvia Abril, Mario Vaquerizo, Boris Izaguirre, Terelu Campos, and even Cristina Cifuentes.

Additionally, among the surprises of 'la terreta', Michelin-starred chef Joaquín Baeza Rufete will also appear as a guest chef on MasterChef, having prepared an Alicante menu.
