A unique dinner with views from the summit to the sea and stars. This is the offering from the restaurant Orobianco, located in the Alicante town of Calpe, to celebrate its first decade. It will do so with its first chef, Enrico Croatti, and the current head chef, Andrea Drago.
Both, awarded with a Michelin star, will work on a special menu designed with four hands to extract all the flavour of Italian haute cuisine facing the Mediterranean of Alicante. Paolo Casagrande, the gastronomic director of Orobianco and chef of the three-starred Lasarte in Barcelona, will also participate.
The event will be held on June 17 with several dinner shifts. This experience aims to take a journey through the first ten years of Orobianco's life through the palate. The dishes themselves will pay tribute to the evolution of this Michelin restaurant, with flavours that will evoke its opening in 2025 to the present, being a reference with its own seal.
Thus, Orobianco's tenth anniversary will feature a fusion of two lands bathed by the same sea, through dishes recognised at the summit of Calpe and others arriving from Milan - directly from the Michelin-starred kitchen of Moebius - to delight attendees.
This exclusive and limited Michelin tasting menu consists of nine courses. The experience will begin with a welcome that celebrates the union of Italian and Mediterranean essence before entering the restaurant's dining room.
The '10 years of height' tasting menu will start with pizza, bloody mary, tomato, and 'cinta senese', and tribute to Spain (Moebius) in the welcome. The dishes will continue with the section 'Squid 2015-2025' which includes squid with caviar (Moebius), and squid tartare, guanciale, almond, cured yolk (Orobianco).
The courses will continue with 'Red Tuna 2015-2025' with vitello tonnato (Moebius), pappardelle tuna and tomato (Orobianco), agnolotti di ossobuco, saffron and gremolata (Moebius), roasted pigeon, pepper and lavender (Orobianco), lime, lemon, bergamot (Orobianco) and miso, rum and apricot (Orobianco).
In addition to this dinner, Orobianco will open its OB Rooftop terrace, with views of the Peñón de Ifach and the Mediterranean, to offer an author cocktail experience, with a special menu designed alongside the Moebius bar team, ranked among the top 50 in the world.
