Las Hogueras de Alicante revive the 'Mostra de Fogueres i tradició', with fifteen events addressing key aspects of the city's official festivities throughout February.
These sessions began last Saturday with 'The Importance of Personal and Professional Image', a proposal by El Corte Inglés on the seventh floor of its fashion centre in Maisonnave, alongside the exhibition 'Els xiquets de la Festa'.
This venue will host the remaining 15 traditional events, continuing this Tuesday, 4th February at 7 PM with 'Arroces de la terreta: mar y montaña', also led by El Corte Inglés. It will be followed by 'The Roots of Tradition: Traditional Games' this Friday at 7 PM, presented by the president of the Federation of Traditional and Popular Festivals, Vicente Giner.

The programme will also feature the talk 'Procedures and Permits. The Role of Technicians in the Festival' on 8th February at 11:30 AM; 'Coca amb tonyina' on Tuesday 11th at 7 PM, with El Corte Inglés and Forn Mariu; and the event '50 Years of Being Special' by the children's bonfire Foguerer Carolinas on Friday 14th at 7 PM.
The proper use of pyrotechnics for children's bonfires will be addressed on Saturday, 15th February at 11:30 AM, while the 'Future of Bonfire Sectors and Districts' will be discussed on Monday 17th. 'Llibrets' will also be highlighted on Tuesday, 18th February at 7 PM, as well as 'barracas' on Thursday, 20th February.
Safety will also be a focus in these traditional events with a first aid session on Saturday, 22nd at 11:30 AM, followed by attire on Monday, 24th and accessibility on Tuesday, 25th. Additionally, a talk on 'A Journey through Traditional Music in les Fogueres' is scheduled for Wednesday, 26th, led by the Federació de Folklore d'Alacant.
The seventh floor of El Corte Inglés Fashion will also host a workshop on Alicante Bride Makeup on Thursday, 27th at 5 PM; while the grand finale of these events will be presented by bonfire enthusiast David Hernández (David Hercha) with the book launch 'Discovering les Fogueres' on Friday, 28th at 7 PM.
