Cutting-edge technology to create solutions that improve quality of life. This is the common point among these seven finalist startups competing in the national final, including Aquareturn Smart, an Alicante project that prevents water loss until it gets hot, and provides water suppliers and users with real-time data on consumption, pressure, and water quality, helping to locate breakdowns, leaks, and fraud.

The 23rd edition of the technological entrepreneurship awards eAwards Spain, organized by NTT Data Foundation, will be held next Thursday, September 26 at 7 PM. During the ceremony, the seven best entrepreneurs, selected from over 6,500 projects submitted, will present their proposal in one minute.

The winner will receive 20,000 euros in non-repayable funds, access to a personalized acceleration program to boost their business, and a pass to represent Spain in the Global eAwards final, where they will compete with winners from European and Latin American countries for a prize of 100,000 euros.

What does Aquareturn Smart offer?

  • Prevents costly water recirculation.

  • Patent granted in the USA and Europe.

  • Analyzes and sends real-time data to providers and municipalities on water quality, pressure, and user consumption patterns to create digital consumption twins.

  • Detects leaks in water supply networks and finds leaks inside homes, notifying the user.

  • Automatically prevents pipe freezing in cold areas.

  • Prevents legionella proliferation in hospitals and hotels, certified by the Eduardo Torroja Institute.

“In a 21st-century city, wasting water makes no sense.” Aquareturn Smart is an appliance that installs in five minutes in a single sink and prevents water waste until it gets hot throughout the house. This way, it saves more than 10,000 liters per person per year, according to a CSIC study.
