Valentina Tárraga Makes History as She is Crowned the Bellea del Foc Infantil

Valentina Tárraga Quesada now proudly wears the sash that acknowledges her as the bellea del foc infantil and the highest representative of the Alicante Bonfires. This Friday marked the moment when this iconic fabric was draped over her shoulder, accompanied by words she will never forget.

These words were spoken by Inés Quesada, the 2008 Bellea del Foc of Alicante, who had the honour of being the host of this event, passing the flames from mother to daughter, writing a new anecdote in the golden book of the Bonfires.

The dames d'honor of the Bellea del Foc Infantil: Adriana Torres Martínez, Sofía García Velasco, Elma García Javaloyes, Noa Torres García, Alba Otero Sereix, and Carla Vicedo Morote, also witnessed this event and received their sashes at the Town Hall square.

This event returned to the doors of the Town Hall in 2025. The last time this square was used was in 2019, before the pandemic, to proclaim Noelia Vinal Rondón as the Bellea del Foc.

On this occasion, the story of Nicolás, created by the illustrator and foguerer of Séneca, David Hernández, took centre stage. Until he stepped out of the story and spoke on Valentina Tárraga's most important day.

The Bellea del Foc Infantil of Alicante also surprised with her colour. She revealed her best-kept secret: the colour of her espolín, which is eagle green. This skirt is made up of 46 colours of natural silk weft and two metals, crafted from 6,210 threads of natural silk warp.
