Paidos Dénia Under 16 made their debut with a 5-5 draw against Vigo 2015 in the Spanish Futsal Championship. The match, held at the university pavilion in Vigo, was highly intense.

In the first half, the team from Dénia clearly outperformed a local team that took to the court more calmly. At the start of the match, the locals managed to maintain their line.

As the minutes passed, CD Paidos Dénia found their rhythm and soon began to showcase their enormous offensive potential. With the security provided by Cayetano Iglesias in goal, the school team built their play. They played smartly, overcoming the high local pressure to secure good shooting positions.

They took the lead with goals from Carlos and Caudeli, which significantly affected the Galician side, who struggled with the visitors' goals. Vigo attempted to respond by controlling the ball more. After a ball theft by the visiting team, Hugo managed to score to make it 1-3.

Far from giving up, the locals took more risks in attack. Cayetano displayed his experience and quality between the posts with good saves. Following a defensive error, the Vigo team reduced Paidos Dénia's lead to 2-3. This goal caused some confusion among Natan Grimalt's players. The half ended with Dénia leading 2-3.

In the second half, things started poorly as a misunderstanding in Paidos' ball exit allowed the locals to equalise at 3-3. However, the school team reacted well, with Albert quickly restoring the lead by scoring 3-4.

The intense pressure from Grimalt's side made it difficult for the locals to comfortably play the ball out. As time passed, the game became chaotic, with neither side in control. In this type of play, the Vigo team felt more comfortable. In a good attacking move, the school team scored to make it 3-5. With the game under control by Dénia, a pivotal moment occurred when Caudeli received a second yellow card and was sent off, leaving his team numerically disadvantaged. The Vigo team capitalised on this to make it 4-5. In the final moments, the locals opted to play with a flying goalkeeper and, with 12 seconds remaining, scored the equaliser. The match ended in a 5-5 draw. Penalty kicks were taken to determine which team would have the advantage in the event of a double or triple tie. The locals were more accurate and won the shootout.

Nata Grimalt's boys must focus on winning today against the Basque champion, Eguszki Areto Futbola, in the match to be held at the university pavilion in Vigo at 5 p.m., and tomorrow, they must defeat CD Iberia Toscal, the Canary champion, in the duel to be played at 10 a.m.
