Elda Street Food Market and Spring Festival: Schedule and Programme

Plaza Castelar will host a new edition of the Elda Street Food Market from May 9 to 11, an event organised by the Elda City Council through the Department of Tourism. Additionally, on Saturday, May 10, the same venue will host the Spring Festival, featuring performances by the bands Olivia and La Habitación Roja.

Tourism Councillor Rosa Vidal and Festivities Councillor David Guardiola have unveiled the details of an event that will transform Plaza Castelar into the epicentre of an intergenerational celebration that combines leisure, culture, and entertainment.

Rosa Vidal highlighted that the Street Food Market will also include children's activities and family-friendly events, offering the best gastronomy and featuring some tribute acts and bands that are returning due to their great popularity.

Meanwhile, Rafa Baeza from the organising company emphasised that the main attraction is the 'food trucks', and this time there will be a total of ten offering a variety of cuisines: Mexican, Argentine, burgers, pizzas, hot dogs... Essentially, a world tour in one place. This year, there will also be an artisan market with twelve stalls showcasing art, design, and illustration. The programme will be comprehensive and cater to all audiences, starting on Friday with Clown Eddy, a tribute to La Oreja de Van Gogh, the Liverpool Band, and on Sunday, a tribute to Mecano.

The Elda Street Food Market will operate from 7 PM to midnight on Friday; from noon to midnight on Saturday; and from noon to 7 PM on Sunday.

The musical offering on Saturday will be headlined by the Spring Festival, featuring a lineup with the bands Olivia and La Habitación Roja. David Guardiola explained that it was crucial to add value to the Elda Street Food Market by coinciding this event with the Spring Festival.

The Festivities Councillor indicated that "we will create a 'festival-like' space where everyone can enjoy the gastronomic and artisan offerings of the Elda Street Food Market and enhance the musical proposal with performances by Olivia at 9 PM and La Habitación Roja from 10:30 PM."
