A 42-year-old man died yesterday following the Karol G concert at Santiago Bernabeu. The deceased was leaving the concert last night while on a video call with his partner. A mother and her two adult daughters noticed the situation and mistakenly thought that the man, who was from Vigo, was recording them. However, this was far from the truth. The now-deceased approached to explain that he was merely making a video call. The three women, instead of calming down, escalated the situation further.
Shortly after, a man with no apparent connection to the women intervened in the argument and delivered a blow to the man, causing him to fall backward and hit his head on the ground. Emergency services from SAMUR and civil protection arrived at the scene to attend to him. The first responders were police officers who were managing traffic at that time and provided initial first aid. Ultimately, the man was transferred in critical condition to La Paz Hospital in Madrid, where he succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.
The perpetrator of the blow, a 33-year-old man from Mallorca, is currently in custody awaiting judicial proceedings. He is expected to be charged with homicide.
