Benissa en Corto Film Festival has launched its new website, www.benissaencorto.com, designed to be the digital meeting point with all the information related to the festival, including its schedule, rules, awards, and the walk of fame. The festival director, Pedro Font, and radio host and screenwriter, Raúl Martínez, have introduced this new digital platform designed by Robert Cabrera.
The website provides information about the festival and will be updated with the latest news about the event. It also includes a press dossier, links to social media, sponsors, collaborators, and fans.
In this regard, Pedro Font has invited "all institutions, companies, or individuals who wish to collaborate with this first film festival in any way they choose, as a sponsor, collaborator, or fan." They can make contact through the website or by sending an email to benissaencorto@gmail.com.
Additionally, he expressed his satisfaction with securing the first official sponsorship from El Rall Restaurant, located in a prime spot on Fustera Beach, where some of the events of this first Film Festival will be held.
The festival has already received over 500 short films of fiction and animation from various parts of the country and the Valencian territory. The organizers have decided to extend the festival days and the pre-selected short films.
"Ten from the Valencian Community and twenty national ones will be pre-selected, increasing the number to thirty pre-selected films. Therefore, the festival will be extended by one more day, starting on Tuesday, September 2, with the inauguration and screening of selected shorts from the Valencian Community, followed by other screenings and the gala," the festival director pointed out.
Regarding the awards, the festival will feature three main prizes and one from the Valencian Community, best actress and actor, honorary award, audience award, and Equality award. Nearly 6,500 euros in cash will be distributed, with prizes ranging from 500 to 1,500 euros, a Pere Bigot trophy, and the Equality award, Eva Pinera.
Pedro Font highlighted that since the project's launch on social media, hundreds of actors, actresses, directors, and people connected to the film industry have sent their recorded video support for Benissa en Corto, including Esteban Crespo, Alberto Ammann, Armando Buika, Joaquín Climent, Marta Romero, and Nazaret Gil, among others.
