The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan) has been informed by the health authorities of Andalusia about the presence of salmonella in this batch of pasteurized liquid whole egg.
Among the data of the affected product provided by Aesan is the name of the product "pasteurized liquid whole egg" of the Ovopak brand in brick. The batch number is L11142 with an expiration date of October 28, 2024. Each unit weighs one kilo and is refrigerated.
According to the available information, the initial distribution has been to the Autonomous Communities of Andalusia, Catalonia, and Extremadura, although health authorities do not rule out that there may be redistributions to other autonomous communities.
This information has been conveyed to the competent authorities of the autonomous communities through the Coordinated System of Rapid Information Exchange (SCIRI) and to the Center for Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies (CCAES), with the aim of verifying the withdrawal of the affected product from marketing channels and informing about the existence of possible cases.
If you have consumed the product from the affected batch and present any symptoms compatible with salmonellosis -mainly diarrhea and/or vomiting accompanied by fever and headache- it is recommended to visit a health center.
