Valladolid and Las Palmas were eliminated on Sunday in the Copa del Rey round of 32, defeated by Ourense from Primera RFEF and Elche, respectively. Ourense triumphed over the Pucelano team at O Couto with a 3-2 victory, while Elche thrashed the Canarian team at the Martínez Valero with a 4-0 scoreline.

Eight top-tier teams have now exited the Copa before the round of 16: Mallorca (the current runner-up), Sevilla, Espanyol, Villarreal, Girona, Alavés, Valladolid, and Las Palmas. On Sunday, the first surprises of the day were delivered by Ourense, second to last in their Primera Federación group, and Elche, currently fourth in the Segunda División.

Valladolid, the bottom team in Primera, crashed out at Ourense's ground, despite the team now led by Diego Cocca taking the lead twice at O Couto, with goals from Raúl Moro and Amallah. After a 2-2 draw at halftime, in the 52nd minute, Ángel Sánchez struck down a team in freefall, which ended the final stretch with ten men due to an injury to Raúl Moro.

In the case of Las Palmas, they were already trailing at halftime after a goal by Rodrigo Mendoza in the 44th minute, and in the second half, they conceded three more goals, scored by Affengruber (56'), José Salinas (61'), and Nicolás Fernández (71').
