The commitment of the Alicante Chamber of Commerce to the growth of Alicante companies is reflected in its efforts to promote their internationalisation. This year's agenda includes a comprehensive plan of Trade Missions aimed at expansion and exportation.
This 2025, horizons are broadened by travelling to Algeria, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Morocco. All of these are strategic and emerging markets. The goal is for companies to sell their products and services in other countries and compete with businesses from other regions.
In the current challenging global context, faced with the US tariff imposition, these trade missions are an ambitious internationalisation strategy as an effective alternative to the traditional US market.
This initiative by the Alicante Chamber has already sparked significant interest among affected productive sectors, especially in key sectors such as wine and footwear, two of the province's export engines.
With the aim of diversifying export destinations and increasing the competitiveness of Alicante SMEs, the Chamber has designed a comprehensive calendar of business trips to emerging and strategic markets. Confirmed destinations for 2025 include:
- Algeria, held from 16 to 19 February
- Panama and Costa Rica, from 15 to 21 June
- Mexico, from 7 to 11 July
- Vietnam and Cambodia, from 27 to 31 October
- Morocco, from 24 to 27 November
The Chamber is hosting an informative session for all interested parties on each of the destination countries.
Participating companies gain access to a range of value-added services designed to maximise the success of their internationalisation.
- Contacts with international buyers to generate real and direct business opportunities.
- Exploration of new markets key for obtaining strategic data for informed decision-making.
- International visibility thus strengthening global presence.
- Personalised advice from the Chamber team who accompany and advise companies throughout the process with a personalised agenda of B2B meetings with international distributors and buyers tailored to each company and sector.
The choice ofMexico is due to its strong commercial relationship with Spain, its role as a main partner in Latin America. This country has an open and competitive market that offers additional opportunities and great guarantees of success.
Meanwhile, Vietnam and Cambodia offer growing economies, both economically and demographically, with high regard for Spanish products. An opportunity to prospect in Southeast Asian markets and establish contacts with major distributors in these two countries.
In Morocco, contact will be made with the main distributors of the Maghreb market to prospect this market. Morocco remains a market of interest and currently one of the most accessible in North Africa, presenting no risk or trade barriers for Spanish-origin products. This country has undertaken a series of economic reforms to liberalise its economy. Commercial relations between Spain and Morocco are strong and stable, with Spain being the country's main supplier and client.
The Alicante Chamber of Commerce offers SMEs a complete infrastructure to facilitate access to international markets: advice, planning, contact with distributors, external visibility, and continuous support.
