All Set for the 'Playbacks' Final of the Hogueras: Unique Mode Qualifiers

When the curtain rises and the lights shine, the magic begins on the stage of the Provincial Home of Alicante. The agora has become, over the past weekends, the venue where the commissions of the Hogueras of Alicante have paraded, this time swapping 18th-century costumes and bellea attire for fantasy outfits. The artistic contest, known as 'the playbacks', is one of the most cherished events by the festival-goers, who each year bring out their best art dedicated to dance.

This Sunday, the commissions that will advance to the final in the unique mode of this competition were finally announced. Out of the 24 performances presented in this category, only 13 will return to the stage for the final. On December 6, 2024, the Technification Centre will host this event where the winners of the unique mode of the XXXVI Artistic Contest 'Fogueres de Sant Joan' will be revealed.

Last Saturday, the performances of the artistic contest began. In total, 68 districts will participate in their various categories - unique, adult, and child - over the coming weeks. The three finals will be held between December 5 and 7 at the Technification Centre of Alicante.

The governing body of the Hogueras of Alicante will broadcast all performances through its YouTube channel, along with the jury's verdict - which will connect via Instagram - at the end of each elimination to announce the districts advancing to the playbacks final.

Next weekend, starting November 30, it will be the turn for the youngest participants of the Hogueras of Alicante to take the stage. Fourteen commissions will compete in the elimination round of the children's category of the Hogueras artistic contest.
