María José Marcos, an Alicante-born writer and journalist, returns with a new literary project. 'Dante and the (Bad) Women', published by Ediciones Azimut, is her latest novel, now available on Amazon, bookstores, and major retailers. The book tells the story of Professor Dante Sebastián, a brilliant man of impeccable morals whose life is marked by pain. Childhood traumas, family dramas, and an unrelenting search for love leave Dante with irreparable wounds. After each experience, guilt and loneliness surface, plunging him into a dangerous spiral of despair and more pain. However, Dante persists and continues to seek love. Could it be that the professor tries to channel his guilt through women to save himself?

'Dante and the (Bad) Women' is a novel with profound themes. Life and death, disappointment and love are the underlying topics throughout the action. An addictive and sometimes heartbreaking story, its reading is agile and relatable thanks to the charisma of its characters and the author's pen. Once again, as is characteristic of María José Marcos, Alicante serves as the backdrop for this book. Within its pages, readers will find places as representative of the city as La Casa Carbonell, El Barrio, or the University of Alicante, as well as references to Alicante traditions and entities.

'Dante and the (Bad) Women' is brought to light by Ediciones Azimut, a Malaga-based publisher with ten years of experience and whose strong commitment to independent talent has made it one of the most prestigious in recent times. Maximum dedication, a meticulous editing process, and a selective nature of its works make Azimut a publisher that cares for each project and its authors so that their projection has no limits. The novel is part of the Harén imprint, which tackles stories of unconfessable secrets, ghosts of the past, and forbidden romances.

About the author: Alicante-born and at heart, María José Marcos, or MJ as her close ones call her, always preferred passion over common sense. A journalist by profession, she is a lover of communication, which led her, more than five years ago, to publish her debut work: The Dark Romance Trilogy 'Las Damas Oscuras'. Following the success of this saga of secrets, love, and much mystery, María José continues to write because, as she states, "I write to discover myself and not forget, to continue being me."

Marcos has worked as a writer for media outlets of local, regional, and national relevance. For 15 years, she held the position of communications director for the theme parks Terra Mítica, Aqualandia, and Mundomar. Currently, she is the DIRCOM of Grupo Cyma, a well-established communication and advertising agency that, like her, has Alicante DNA.
