Irene Urdangarín, youngest daughter of Infanta Cristina and Iñaki Urdangarin, has begun a new phase of her academic life at a university in the southeast of England, two hours from London, as confirmed by the portal 'Vanitatis'. The 19-year-old arrived on campus with her mother ten days ago to settle in during the adaptation week, known as "Introduction Week". Doña Cristina's stay was brief; however, Irene will remain there for the next three years to study Hospitality, a marketing specialty focused on event organization.

The annual cost of this degree is around 15,000 euros, so the three years will total close to 50,000 euros, including accommodation. The university has requested to keep its name private to protect the tranquility of the campus, a request also supported by the Urdangarín de Borbón family.

Thus, Felipe VI's niece begins her new life after her gap year during which she resided in Madrid at the Palacio de la Zarzuela with her grandmother, Queen Sofía, and also volunteered in Cambodia. A year that has helped her broaden her horizons, gain experiences, and even find love in Juan Urquijo, whom she will surely miss from afar.
