The most affordable ECO label on the market is called Fiat Pandina. A segment A car, heir to a model that is a bestseller in Italy, which next year turns 45 years old, now reaching its fifth version and available from 13,200 euros.
This new evolved version of the Panda arrives with all the mandatory ADAS imposed by EU regulations, making it the most technological and safest version in the long history of this model. It is available in two versions, an entry-level Panda Classic, and its top-of-the-range version, called Pandina.
Inside, it houses a 70 HP gasoline engine with micro-hybridization that pushes this urban vehicle of just one thousand kilos of weight more than sufficiently. In its natural habitat, the city streets, it is ideal for its maneuverability and size (3.75 meters long) which facilitates parking.
Externally, it does not present excessive modifications compared to the previous version. It maintains its square lines with rounded corners that are a constant in almost all decorative elements, even inside. Noteworthy for its nod to the model name is the panda bear face drawn on the hubcaps. On the rear side, it carries a molding with the name Pandina in contrast with the body color. It has a new range of colors that strictly follows Fiat's philosophy: "No more Grey". It offers tones like exclusive Yellow, Gelato White, Cinema Black, Passione Red, Blue.
Additionally, customization is even greater thanks to the two-tone option that combines these colors with a black roof. In the Pandina version, the mirror housings can be painted in body color or, for white or black colors in yellow.
Inside, the Pandina debuts a 7-inch digital instrument cluster with three different graphic modes and DAB Radio compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a renewed steering wheel. The new white dashboard for the Pandina version stands out, as well as seats decorated with the special series logo in relief, yellow double-stitching details, white accents, and Seaqual fabric upholstery, completely sustainable and made from recycled plastic from the seas.
Besides aesthetic touches, technology is the strength of this new Fiat Pandina. It features an autonomous emergency braking system, lane-keeping assist, and drowsy driver detection that enhance road safety or traffic sign recognition system that detects and displays signs on the instrument cluster for constant awareness.
In maneuvers, standard rear parking sensors provide safety; in the city or outside it, cruise control (available in optional 'Pack City' or standard in Pandina version) maintains speed from 30 km/h without needing to press the accelerator pedal. Additionally, automatic high beam (available in optional Pack City or standard in Pandina) automatically adjusts lighting to traffic conditions, making night driving easier and avoiding glare. Most functions are managed by a camera mounted on the interior rearview mirror. Additionally, 6 airbags and stability control complete the standard equipment.
Fiat Panda hybrid from 13,200 euros or 79 euros per month. Down payment: €4,874.50. Final installment: €10,118.80
