Recently, news emerged about the bankruptcy of a company allegedly owned by Manuel Díaz, El Cordobés. The reports claimed that the company had entered bankruptcy proceedings and was facing the auction of 27 properties. However, the bullfighter himself has refuted these claims through an Instagram video, clarifying that he is not bankrupt. Manuel expressed his distress over the reports concerning his financial situation, stating that he felt 'sad' and 'very unwell'.

'I've been mistaken for a man with the same name as me, Manuel Díaz González, who owns a company that, unfortunately, has had bad luck and gone bankrupt,' he explained. 'A newspaper reported that this person was me, that the company was mine, and that I was bankrupt,' he continued. Despite the impact on his emotional state, the bullfighter has ruled out taking legal action and declared himself 'rich in many things that are more important to me than money'. 'I have enough to eat, and at least to ensure my children have a future,' he concluded.
