Elche continues to struggle for consistency this season. This Sunday, they clearly lost in their visit to La Romareda, falling 3-0 in a match marked by two decisive moments: Dituro's error in the first half and Óscar Plano's expulsion after the break.

Eder Sarabia's side once again delivered a poor performance at the start of this season, showing no signs of the team that thrashed Cordoba at the Martínez Valero on Monday.
Argentine goalkeeper Dituro paved the way for the home team's victory by mishandling a ball in the area that he should have easily caught. Mario Soberón, the former Eldense striker, made no mistake and scored the first goal of the evening.
Josan had a chance to equalize before halftime. It was the best opportunity for the franjiverde, but his left-footed shot inside the area went wide, with no attacker able to push it into Zaragoza's net.
Elche's chances ended when Óscar Plano arrived late and stepped on an opponent while contesting for the ball. The referee showed him a straight red card. With 10 men, Elche found no solutions, and Zaragoza showed no mercy to the ilicitanos.
First, Soberón completed his brace with an excellent diving header, and then Francho placed it in the top corner beyond Dituro's reach.
Elche was far from getting back into the match. Not even the presence of Sory Kaba provided any real scoring opportunities for the ilicitanos.

The result leaves Elche with a poor tally of 3 points out of a possible 12. They are far from the top and just one point above the relegation zone.
Next week, Eder Sarabia's side will host Granada at Martínez Valero. The match will take place on Sunday at 9 PM.
