'First Dates' Opens Its Romantic Hotel on Telecinco for Singles in Search of Love

From the most famous restaurant on television to a cozy luxury hotel near the sea in Moraira (Alicante). 'First Dates' changes its setting to continue helping singles in their search for love or whatever may arise. The dating show moves from Cuatro to Telecinco with its new version (premiering this Tuesday at 10:50 PM), where Carlos Sobera will continue as the master of ceremonies, accompanied by Lidia Torrent as the receptionist, who returns to the Mediaset space surrounded by a staff to make the guests' stay more pleasant.

The big novelty of 'First Dates Hotel', unlike its daily version, is that couples will have the opportunity to continue getting to know each other beyond their first dinner together. Viewers will be able to follow the journey of the dates, where there will be no shortage of love, fun, and other comedic moments that have made this format one of the most-watched on television after eight years of success. "We believe that the program is mature enough to make its leap to Telecinco. It is the logical evolution of the daily format," says Jaime Guerra, Director of Content Production at Mediaset, about this spin-off that has already triumphed in countries like the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany.

'First Dates' already had a version on a cruise ship on Cuatro. However, in this evolution, the audience witnesses how love can blossom amidst leisure and relaxation moments. "We will be able to see how the continuity of the date or those who stay on the show without receiving a 'match' unfolds," Guerra points out. Alongside Sobera, who serves as host and hotel director, are Sergio López (DJ Keko), who will double as a bellboy; Adrián Pedraja as a bartender, witnessing the first glances and impressions of singles upon meeting; and Arianna Aragón and Rocío de Porras ('Rolita'), responsible for attending to couples' tables during their dates.

"The hotel context has made passion overflow, and the level of couples is as high as in the daily show," says the Basque presenter, promising not to disappoint loyal followers with the new edition of the dating show in a luxury hotel. "People who love 'First Dates' will feel stimulated, and those who don't usually watch it will surely be excited about the idea," insists Sobera about this space produced by Mediaset in collaboration with Warner Bros. ITVP Spain.

'First Dates Hotel' also poses a technical challenge so that the audience does not miss any gesture, attitude, or knowing glance from participants. The format features around 70 robotic cameras camouflaged within the environment; a sound system covering every area of the accommodation; and a production infrastructure designed specifically for this show. All this creates an intimate space where participants can live their experience more relaxedly and naturally.

The hotel will feature a cozy restaurant and offer amenities such as a spa and jacuzzi, pool, Balinese beds, cocktail area, chill-out zone, or evenings enlivened by DJ music under starlight. Another major novelty of this version is that singles can venture outside the hotel to explore the area and enjoy water sports, mountain trails, boat trips, or beach sunsets among many other activities inviting shared leisure or sparking passion.
