Villena to Once Again Become the Capital of Video Gaming

Villena is set to become the capital of video gaming in the province for the second year running. The town will host the event known as Game Party Villena, from May 31 to June 1, at the Multifunctional Plaza. Activities will include virtual reality, driving simulator games, an arcade zone for nostalgia enthusiasts, as well as Mobile, Xbox, and PS5 championships. Various popular games will be available on different consoles for the general public to enjoy.

The Councillor for Festivities, José Ferri, explained that "all registered participants will be able to enjoy the best gaming tournaments. There will be prizes for the winners, merchandise raffles, and plenty of entertainment throughout the event."

The organisers noted that nearly 500 young people participated in the previous edition, although the event attracted over 1,500 people, including participants and the general public. The activities are free, but prior registration is required on the website logrodesbloqueado.com.
