The MasterChef team has arrived in Alicante to film an episode for the upcoming season, set to premiere on March 31 on TVE. Alicante was chosen as a location due to its status as the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2025. The production team selected two iconic sites in the city: the Central Market and Postiguet Beach.

Filming began early Wednesday morning at Plaza 25 de Mayo, behind Alicante's Central Market, where the three judges (Pepe Rodríguez, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, and Jordi Cruz) briefed the contestants on the challenges to be later held at Postiguet Beach, where the filming continued.
There was great anticipation around the Central Market, matched by the security measures surrounding the show to maintain suspense for the contestants who have arrived in Alicante. However, filming in city centres makes it difficult to hide from the hundreds of curious onlookers who gathered around the tents set up at Plaza 25 de Mayo.
The first part of the show was filmed swiftly. At the Central Market, contestants received instructions from the judges, as reported by Cadena Cope in Alicante. The Mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala, and the Councillor for Commerce and Hospitality, Lidia López, were also present.
From there, they moved to Postiguet Beach. Behind the Meliá Hotel, they set up the filming location, using part of the Alicante sand, which was temporarily closed to the public.
Thus, the city of Alicante once again hosts a 'MasterChef' filming eight years later. In 2017, cameras were set up at the city's port's Muelle 12 to host another outdoor challenge. Filming also took place at the Monastrell restaurant, which at the time held a Michelin Star.
