Registration Now Open in Elche for the Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration '50 Years Together'

The Department of Family, Children, and Seniors has announced the opening of registration for the celebration of a new Golden Wedding Anniversary gala named '50 Years Together', to honor «couples who have shared 50 or more years of their lives together and have formed families, to whom we owe the greatness and unity of Elche,» stated the councilor of the area, Aurora Rodil.

Individuals and families wishing to participate can register from this Wednesday, September 4 until September 20 in person at any OMAC office or alternatively, through the electronic headquarters of the Elche City Council. Additional information can also be obtained at the Senior Citizens' House located at Plaza Menéndez Pelayo number 2, by sending an email to mayores@elche.es, or by calling 966 65 82 63.

When registering, it will be necessary to provide a wedding photograph, as well as a brief history of the couple, their beginnings, their happiest moments, etc., which will then be projected on October 19 from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM during the gala held in their honor at the Congress Center.

A selection of thirty couples will be chosen based on the order of registration to attend the event accompanied by their family members or loved ones until the venue's capacity is reached. Additionally, accepted couples will need to attend a small rehearsal for the gala on October 14 at 11:00 AM at the Congress Center.
