Poquet (PP) Criticizes Barceló (PSOE): "Either She Doesn't Get It" or Speaks with "Hypocrisy" About Subsidies

The spokesperson for the government team of Alicante City Council, Ana Poquet, has broken her silence following harsh statements by the socialist spokesperson, Ana Barceló, on the closure of the 2023 municipal budget, in which she accused the municipal team of returning €2.8 million in subsidies.

Poquet stated that the socialist spokesperson, Ana Barceló, "either doesn't get it, as usual," or speaks with "hypocrisy" about the subsidies returned in the 2023 fiscal year, according to figures collected in the closure of the 2023 Municipal Budget, approved on Thursday by the Special Accounts Committee.

"We are very surprised that the socialist spokesperson dares to raise her voice against the government team over the amount of subsidies returned in 2023, which represents barely 1.62% of the total amount received, which amounted to €125.1 million." Furthermore, she adds, "when we all know, or at least she should know, that the disastrous left-wing tripartite coalition led by her party managed to quadruple the percentage of subsidies returned."
