The Bonfires of Alicante are starting the season fully energized. Several districts have already made their schedules public during these last days of August, revealing the first events of the festive season, including popular breakfasts and mascletàs.

The first pyrotechnic display will take place on September 8th, the Sunday before the return to school, right in the city center. The Rambla de Méndez Núñez bonfire is organizing the mascletà which will be launched by Pedro Luis Sirvent's pyrotechnics at 2 PM on this street, with a prior breakfast. "After 36 years, a mascletà will once again be fired on the Rambla," they state.

Additionally, the 'Pòlvora tot l'any' (Gunpowder All Year Round) cycle by the Federació de les Fogueres de Sant Joan also includes its initial mascletà in September, although the date has not been disclosed. The provisional schedule of events indicates that it will be in sector three, which encompasses the bonfires of Sant Blai-La Torreta, Don Bosco, San Blas, Sant Blai de Baix, Los Ángeles, Rabassa, Barri Sant Agustí, Polígono de San Blas, Sant Blai de Dalt, Santo Domingo-Plaza de Tomás Valcárcel, José María Py and Benito Pérez Galdós.
