The Department of Commerce and Markets of Elda has once again organized the special Moors and Christians market, popularly known as the 'Zoco'. It will be located around Plaza de la Concordia from Thursday, May 29 to Monday, June 2.
The 'Zoco' has become a key space in recent years for the Moors and Christians Festivities in Elda. Its commercial and recreational offerings are a fundamental part of the festival route for both participants and the multitude of visitors who come to the city during these days.
The 'Zoco' will feature 79 sales points, including stalls and booths, as well as the traditional festival 'carts' that can be seen throughout the city. It offers craft sales from Egypt, Senegal, Ecuador, gift items, jewelry, perfumes, toys, and local products from various Spanish towns; in addition to the traditional food booths offering sausages, crepes and waffles, churros, sandwiches and burgers, pizzas, Italian ice creams, sweets, corn on the cob and chestnuts, and cheesecakes.
This edition of the 'Zoco' will once again enhance its atmosphere with special decorations that complete the sales area, aiming to further highlight the appeal of the commercial offerings by integrating them into the festive context.
