On Friday, the results of the ordinary call for the University Entrance Exams (Selectivity) were announced, which were passed by 95.68% of students across the Community. Among them, the highest score was achieved by a student from San Alberto Magno School in Monforte del Cid, who took the exam at the University of Alicante and scored a 9.90. The second highest score was also achieved by a student from Alicante, specifically from IES La Mar de Xàbia, with a 9.88, who took the exam at UMH.

From this Friday, all students can check their scores on the website https://appweb1.edu.gva.es/paseu/login.sec

The university in Elche also had the highest average score in the entire Community, with a 6.60 out of 10. The average score for students across the Community was 6.39 (mandatory phase) compared to 6.74 last year. The average score was similar for women (6.41) and men (6.37).

Regarding educational centres affiliated with each university, the one with the highest average score from UMH is IES Vega Baja, in Callosa de Segura, with 7.57, and from UA, the San Alberto Magno centre in Monforte del Cid.

The number of passes decreases

The pass rate this year (95.68%) is slightly lower than last year's 98.32%. In this regard, the Education Department states that it should be noted that this year's ordinary call was the first in which the optionality introduced by the COVID model was not applied, which they believe explains the drop in the average score and passes. In 2019, the pass rate was 96.63% and the average score was 6.28.

Regarding pass rates, the University Jaume I leads the list with 96.53%. At the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, it was 96.04%, and at the University of Alicante, it was 94.78%.

Review and extraordinary call

Students can request a review of the exams on June 16, 17, and 18, concluding on the last day at 2:00 p.m. Meanwhile, the managing committee will resolve the corrections on June 20. The period to request to see the exams will be June 23 and 25 in the provinces of Valencia and Castellón and June 26 and 27 in the province of Alicante.

This year's extraordinary call will be held on July 1, 2, and 3, with the release of scores on July 8 from 5:00 p.m. This year, there is a novelty in this call, as the Department of Education, Culture, Universities, and Employment has offered the possibility for it to count as ordinary for students in the area affected by the October 29 flood who have requested it. Thus, these students will have their corresponding extraordinary call on July 22, 23, and 24.
