Young Man Caught in Elche Hamlet with Marijuana and Hashish Ready for Sale

The Local Police have arrested a young man in the Elche hamlet of Derramador for carrying several bags of marijuana and hashish ready for sale. The arrest occurred during a routine security check by the police force.

The 23-year-old has been detained on suspicion of a public health offence. It was during a control aimed at preventing thefts and ensuring road safety that a police unit stopped a vehicle with three occupants.

During the checks, officers observed the passenger attempting to hide a green bag in the back seats of the vehicle, which was found to contain several small bags of dosed narcotics, specifically marijuana and hashish, prepared for sale.

Consequently, the young man, who admitted to owning the substances, was arrested for a potential drug trafficking offence.
