Yellow Alert for High Temperatures in Alicante This Monday: Maximums Up to 38ºC

The province's coast will bear the brunt, with minimums at night also being 'significantly high'.

The week begins in the province of Alicante with an alert for high temperatures, pushing the mercury close to 40ºC, just as it did this past weekend. The State Meteorological Agency has forecasted the activation of the high temperature alert between 12 PM and 8 PM, both in the northern and southern coasts.

In the northern coast, maximums are expected to reach 38ºC, and in the south, 37ºC. In both areas, minimum temperatures at night will also be 'significantly high', announces AEMET.

By municipalities, notable thermal variations are expected in different cities of the province. In Alcoi, temperatures will range from a minimum of 23 degrees to a maximum of 35. In Alicante, thermometers will mark between 25 and 32 degrees. Meanwhile, in Dénia, a day with minimums of 26 and maximums of 32 degrees is expected.

In Elche, the heat will be particularly noticeable, with temperatures ranging from 23 to 36 degrees. Finally, Orihuela will record one of the highest maximums of the day, with a thermal range from 24 to 39 degrees. Undoubtedly, it will be a day marked by heat throughout the region.
