Xpeng Updates G6 and G9 SUVs with Ultra-Fast Charging

Chinese manufacturer Xpeng has enhanced the performance and technology of its electric SUVs with the introduction of the upgraded G6 and G9, noted for their ability to charge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes, alongside new interior and exterior design features.

Both models, driven by innovation and artificial intelligence (AI), have been updated inside and out to redefine performance, design, and technology in the new generation of electric vehicles. They are expected to arrive in Europe in the latter months of 2025.

The most remarkable feature of these new models is their ultra-fast charging capability at 5C in their LFP batteries for all versions.

Thanks to the 800V SiC platform, the new Xpeng G9 can charge up to 525 kW and the Xpeng G6 up to 451 kW. This allows them to recharge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes, positioning them at the forefront of the sector and marking a true revolution in the electric car user experience.

Beyond charging speed, the manufacturer has placed special emphasis on design and comfort. Notable is the "Stellar Purple" color of the G6. It is a neutral purple tone with low saturation and infused metallic flakes, creating a fascinating gradient effect that shifts from dark to light depending on the light. This color is already on static display at Le Mans Village, France.

The G6 stands out with its nearly two-meter-wide "horizontal saber" shaped LED front lights and a redesigned rear diffuser.

A "Black Edition" of the G9 is introduced, enveloping the entire vehicle in a deep black color, including wheels and logos, creating a striking visual contrast with the Fiery Orange brake calipers.

The G6 debuts a "Super Star-Ring" interior design that has transformed 60% of the cabin, featuring a new dashboard and modern ambient lighting. Both models significantly enhance comfort: the G6 includes a massage function and lumbar support in the front seats, while the G9 elevates luxury with a three-layer panoramic roof with thermal insulation and seats with 10 massage points.

Both models also integrate a more advanced driving chip for clearer and longer-range environmental perception, increasing safety and control.
