Xàbia Port to Host Launch of 'Portitxol', New Four-Level Tower by Muixeranga Marina Alta

Muixeranga Marina Alta and the Fishermen's Guild, in collaboration with Xàbia's Department of Culture, are organising a day of popular culture at the town's port.

Xàbia's Councillor for Culture, Mavi Pérez; Amadeu Ros, representing the Fishermen's Guild; and Pepe Signes, Vice-President of Muixeranga Marina Alta, have unveiled the poster for an event scheduled for Sunday, March 30. During this event, the group will deliver a significant performance and debut a new, unprecedented four-level human tower named 'El Portitxol', a symbolic name for the town. The group aims to showcase this tower in all the towns they visit and hopes other Muixeranga groups will adopt it.

The performance will take place at 12:30 PM on the dock area, the site of the traditional "baret dels bous". The event will feature musical accompaniment by the dolçainas and tabalets from Colla el Portitxol, ensuring a unique and memorable experience.
