Worker Dies in Workplace Accident in Orihuela

Troubling afternoon in Orihuela as the death of a 48-year-old worker in a workplace accident in the Alicante municipality is confirmed. During the incident, another 47-year-old employee was injured. The incident occurred on Doctor García Rogel Avenue in this provincial town, according to health sources.

The Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU) received the accident alert at around 12:25 p.m., after which a medical helicopter, a Basic Life Support (BLS) unit, and a Primary Care medical team were dispatched to the area.

Emergency services transported the injured worker in the BLS ambulance to Vega Baja Hospital due to an anxiety attack and a possible hand fracture.
