Las Hogueras de Alicante fill every corner of the city with life, art, and fire during these grand June days. For those wishing to make the most of the festive experience, TodoAlicante launches an interactive map that allows easy location of the districts where they are situated, as well as planning the route for their visit.

In the case of the bonfires, there are ten commissions, both adult and children's, that form the Special category. Each year, they set up bonfires that touch the impossible. These are monumental and ephemeral works, the result of months of work and a common ambition: to move, surprise, and showcase the effort of an entire year.

These bonfires set the highest pulse of the festival. They compete for gold, yes, but also to leave a mark. After the nit de la cremà, they will disappear. But what remains, the astonishment, the emotion, and the shared memory, is what truly endures.

Special Category Adult Bonfires

  • Official bonfire. Town Hall Square.

  • Port d'Alacant. Old Port Square.

  • Sèneca-Autobusos. Séneca Square.

  • Diputació-Renfe. Station Avenue.

  • Baver-Els Antigons. Carmen Soto Street.

  • Florida-Plaza la Viña. Orion Street.

  • Florida Portazgo. Cefeo Street.

  • San Blas Industrial Estate. Doctor Rico Avenue.

  • La Ceràmica. Martin Luther King Street.

  • Carolinas Altas. Pinoso Street.

Special Category Children's Bonfires

  • Official children's bonfire. Town Hall Square

  • Passeig de Gómiz children's bonfire. Passeig de Gómiz.

  • Diputació-Renfe children's bonfire. Station Avenue.

  • Sèneca-Autobusos 2023. Séneca Square.

  • Florida Portazgo children's bonfire. Cefeo Street.

  • Ángeles-Felipe Bergé children's bonfire. Venezuela Street.

  • La Ceràmica children's bonfire. Martin Luther King Street.

  • Foguerer Carolinas children's bonfire. Foguerer Street with Cánovas del Castillo.

  • Sagrada Familia children's bonfire. Pintor Zuloaga Street.

  • La Condomina children's bonfire. Historiador Vicente Ramos Avenue.

Alongside the Special category bonfires are the top section barracas. These are venues where friendship mingles with festivity - and its popular character - and art. Each is recognizable by its portalada, a decorative structure marking the entrance and symbolizing the essence of the festive group that sets it up.

Special Category Barracas

  • Festa i vi. Vicente Chávarri Street.

  • El Cabasset. General Lazy Street with Maisonnave Avenue.

  • Los Chuanos. Belando Street.

  • Peña Los Gorilas. Constitution Avenue.

  • Special Barraca Trons i bacores. Cronista Vicente Martínez Morellá Street.

These portaladas, made by artists or the barraquers themselves, change theme each year and reflect everything from historical scenes to nods to local culture or current events. Besides their symbolic value, the portaladas participate in contests that reward their originality, technique, and, as in the case of the TodoAlicante Prize, their Alicante spirit.

Interactive map of the Special Bonfires and Barracas

The centre of Alicante city hosts the official bonfires in the Town Hall Square: 'Identidad' by Pedro Espadero and 'H2O' by Sergio Gómez. The route of the Special Bonfires starts nearby, at Port d'Alacant with 'Tu-tuump' by Banyuls i Ruiz. The map continues with 'Aromas' by David Sánchez Llongo at Diputació-Renfe and 'Atracción fatal' by José Gallego and Toni Pérez at Sèneca-Autobusos.

In the western part of the city, Paco Torres brings 'Vanity', designed by Paco Camallonga, to the Baver-Els Antigons district. In the most emblematic square of its neighbouring district, Florida-Plaza de la Viña, stands 'Mutació' by artist Juan Carlos Moles. In the nearby streets rises 'Vacío', a work by Carlos Carsí with design by Carlos Corredera for Florida Portazgo.

Crossing the Gran Vía, the next district is San Blas Industrial Estate, presenting 'Ayer, hoy y mañana', a bonfire by Fran Santonja with his workshop Arte Efímero. Crossing this avenue, heading north, appears among buildings 'Procés creatiu', the bonfire of La Ceràmica built by artisans Palacio and Serra.

Returning to the city centre, through the most traditional neighbourhoods of the eastern zone, you find Carolinas Altas with 'Primum non nocere', a work by Paco Giner, and Sagrada Familia with 'Al revés te lo digo para que lo entiendas', by Pere Baenas.
