In this rich and diverse province of Alicante, it is naturally a point of interest for citizens from all over the world. Some come to build a better future for their families, while others arrive at the Costa Blanca attracted by its sun and beaches, only to fall in love with its light and way of life. Especially if they are from Northern Europe.

For example, around 4,000 German citizens reside regularly in the province of Alicante. Although it’s not as many as in Mallorca, it is an important community that needs attention. This is precisely the mission of the new honorary consul of Germany in Alicante, Nuria López-von Kapff, who took office this week.

The consulate in Alicante will serve both residents of the province and those from the Region of Murcia and the province of Albacete. A vast territory where our German friends will find a small part of their country here. The inauguration, as expected, was celebrated with German beer, Kölsch, brought from Cologne.

'Willkommen zu Hause Konsul!' or, as we say in Spanish, 'Welcome home, consul'.

Another passion this parrot has is shopping, especially in the small stores of Alicante. Therefore, it did not hesitate to sneak into the presentation of the new Bono Comercio campaign to get a closer look and learn about the new dates for this sixth campaign.

It was at the start of the conference when a greeting surprised her. The Economic Development Deputy chaired the table and greeted his sides. On one side, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Carlos Baño, and on the other side, Lidia López, "Councilor of Commerce of Alcoi City Hall".

It was a small lapse and Pastor quickly corrected himself. "From Alicante City Hall, I am from Alcoi," he joked and continued with the introductions, amidst knowing laughs from both councilors. After that, he gave way to López, who upon arriving at the Palace acknowledged that seeing both leaders - provincial and chamber - thought "today between Carlos lies the game," a joke she also made publicly before giving all details about Bono Comercio de Alicante.
