Weather Update: The Sun Returns to Alicante Province

The sun will shine again this Wednesday in Alicante province. After an Easter filled with ups and downs, where rain threatened several processions, on April 23rd the sun will shine without fear, allowing people to enjoy the last days of vacation at the beach.

According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), the province can now say goodbye to rain and maritime storm alerts from recent days. At least until Friday, the skies will remain clear or slightly cloudy, and temperatures will generally rise above 20 degrees.

Throughout the week, temperatures will again reach highs above 25 degrees in towns like Orihuela, Elche, or Alcoy. These spring temperatures will be milder along the coast. As for the lows, they will drop on Wednesday but rise again from Thursday, making the nights much more pleasant.

In the coming days, residents of Alicante can enjoy the long sunny days announced by Aemet, with light winds that could become stronger during the central hours of the day, as is typical in this Mediterranean area.

The last rain episode on Tuesday afternoon recorded up to 25 litres per square metre in Alicante province. The rains travelled from north to south, becoming less intense throughout the afternoon. In Confrides, at the peak of Aitana, 25.4 litres were recorded; in Benifallim, 22; and in Fageca, 21.2; according to the Valencian Meteorological Association (Avamet).

The province thus bids farewell to another episode of rain in a spring marked by precipitation. As the weekend approaches, clouds will return to cover the province's skies, and showers cannot be ruled out, particularly affecting the interior, according to Aemet's forecast for the coming days.
