Finally, the alerts for rain and maritime storms in the province of Alicante have ended. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has turned the map green after days marked by concern over the orange and yellow warnings that have dominated the week. In recent days, rainfall has particularly affected the Marina Alta, even causing some ravines to overflow.

However, for Friday and the weekend, Aemet's forecast is much more promising. The heavy showers are over. Although the sky will remain very cloudy on November 15, with mist and fog in the high areas that will begin to clear from midday.

Nevertheless, one should not rule out rainfall for this day, as it could occur in a weak form. Additionally, this phenomenon will be less likely and more isolated in the south.

Regarding temperatures, there will generally be no significant changes. However, an increase will be noticeable in the extreme south of Alicante. Thus, municipalities like Alicante or Elche will record 22 and 21 degrees respectively. In contrast, in the interior, the mercury will not rise above 17 degrees in Alcoi.

As for the minimum temperatures, they will also remain stable. It will be colder in municipalities like Villena, Ibi, or Castalla, where the thermometer will barely reach 10 degrees. On the other side of the map, in the coastal areas, Alicante and Dénia will not drop below 16 degrees.

Regarding the wind, it will blow moderately from the northeast along the coast, with intervals of easterly winds during the central hours of the day. Maximum gusts could reach 43 kilometres per hour in coastal municipalities such as Guardamar del Segura or Alicante. In the interior, the wind will be light and from the east, although it could occasionally be moderate with maximum gusts not exceeding 30 kilometres per hour.

The weather for the weekend in the province of Alicante

For Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th, a certain calm is expected, although the skies will remain cloudy. On the first day of the weekend, light and isolated showers will not be uncommon in the north of the province of Alicante. By Sunday, the province will enjoy some sunshine with partly cloudy skies, although morning fog is expected in the interior of the southern half.

Regarding temperatures, we will have to wait until Sunday for the maximums to rise again generally and notably in the interior. Thus, Alcoi will experience a day with maximums of 22 degrees, a rise of 5 degrees in just 24 hours. As for the minimums, they will continue to drop in the province.

The wind over the weekend will say goodbye to the strength of recent days, blowing lightly on Saturday and Sunday, with moments of calm in the interior and a breeze on the coast during Sunday.
