Weather in Alicante: New Storm 'Konrad' to Bring Rain to the Province This Weekend

Continues the succession of storms battering the province of Alicante, with episodes of intense rain and the possibility of a hailstorm like the one experienced this past Tuesday afternoon in Alicante. After 'Jana', the new storm 'Konrad' will bring rain on Thursday and Friday, a day when the snow level will also drop to about 1,200 meters, according to the prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

During the weekend, there will be a relative respite in terms of rain on Saturday. However, temperatures will be between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius below normal on Friday and Saturday, with night frosts. From the beginning of next week, it is likely that new storms will arrive with more precipitation.

The instability associated with 'Konrad' and another secondary low-pressure center that will form from this storm will lead to almost widespread rain this Thursday, which could be intense, especially in the afternoon. These may be accompanied by storms and small hail. Additionally, the snow level will drop throughout the day.

Low pressures will retreat towards the Mediterranean on Friday, according to Aemet. In the Mediterranean area, they may be strong, persistent, and accompanied by storms. Moreover, this day will see heavy snowfall in the mountains from a level of 1,200 meters.

Winds will blow strongly in the Mediterranean arc, making it a rather cold day for the time of year, with daytime temperatures between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius below what would be normal for these dates.

Saturday will be a day of respite regarding precipitation. However, the rains will return from Sunday. Next week will be rainy again.
