Calm weekend in terms of weather, despite the passage of a front that could bring rain to the province of Alicante this Saturday. This episode will pass through the province heading towards the interior of the Mediterranean, so the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has only issued a yellow alert in the Balearic Islands. The province will not have any special warnings.

Thus, Aemet forecasts that the front will cross the Peninsula and Balearic Islands and bring rain to the eastern Cantabrian, Iberian, Pyrenees, eastern Catalonia, around Cape Nao, and northeast Balearic Islands, which could be locally strong. In turn, these showers could affect other areas of Catalonia, Levante, and Balearic Islands, although in a weaker and more scattered manner.

The state agency emphasizes that rain cannot be ruled out in the rest of the far north, south center, and eastern third. Meanwhile, in the Canary Islands, medium and high cloudiness is expected, with probable haze, and showers are not ruled out in the mountainous islands.

Regarding temperatures, maximums will rise this Saturday in the Mediterranean area. Alicante will reach up to 26 degrees Celsius, the highest temperature in peninsular Spain. From Sunday, temperatures will moderate but will not reach levels normal for November.

Additionally, the forecast includes westerly winds in the Cantabrian, with strong intervals on the eastern coasts; northwesterly winds in the Ebro and tramontana in Ampurdán extending to the Balearic Islands. Moreover, there will be light variable winds in the Strait and Alboran. In the rest, westerly winds shifting to northerly will prevail, generally light. In the Canary archipelago, light to moderate winds from the east and south will be recorded.
