Faced with the earthquake of solidarity that has reached Valencia, the Generalitat has decided to filter volunteer aid by town hall, thus sending these delegations to the affected areas that require more help and manpower to clean, pump out water, and remove mud.

The Consell has set up a platform to streamline volunteer registrations. From this Tuesday, those who want to go to the affected area to help must register on the Som Solidaritat website. There, you can fill out a form to coordinate aid and donations, offering material or the help you want to provide.

At the top of the website, there are two links for 'volunteering' or 'healthcare volunteering'. The first link will redirect you to a new page where you can get bus tickets that will depart from the Prince Felipe Museum, in the City of Arts and Sciences, although currently, they are sold out for this Wednesday.

This system works like platforms for buying tickets, so each volunteer can reserve a day and time slot in which they want to contribute. After covering all the numbers of personnel each day, the system will not allow subscriptions for the following days, although it will depend on the demand from the town halls.

After subscribing, volunteers must go directly to the volunteer coordination point set up in the City of Arts and Sciences to collect the equipment provided by the Generalitat and board the assigned bus.

The goal of this digital system is to channel and optimize the enormous wave of solidarity that has emerged in the Valencian civil society to participate in the cleaning tasks of the municipalities devastated by the DANA. Since the beginning of the catastrophe, the Generalitat has mobilized more than 12,500 volunteers.

The Vice Presidency and Ministry of Social Services, Equality, and Housing, in collaboration with the Volunteer Platform of the Valencian Community, thus channels the daily requests for personnel from the town halls, with whom it contacts beforehand to coordinate and know how many civilian personnel they require each day.
