The Civil Guard is investigating a waitress as the alleged perpetrator of a continuous offence against public health for the intentional poisoning of eight victims between 2020 and 2025 in the town of Zaidín, Huesca. During this period, the woman allegedly spiked random customers' coffee with anxiolytics.
Operation "Toxdin" commenced last January when three individuals reported being poisoned after consuming coffee at an establishment in the Bajo Cinca region.
Officers discovered that a complaint had already been filed in 2020, where analytical results tested positive for benzodiazepine, which was supposedly administered without the victims' knowledge.
Operation "Toxdin" was conducted by the Territorial Judicial Police Team of the Civil Guard in Fraga, and the proceedings were forwarded to the Court of Instruction No. 2 in the same locality. The judicial authority decreed, among other precautionary measures, the suspension of her professional duties at a public hospitality establishment.
