The virulent fire in an apartment forces all the neighbors of a four-story building in Novelda to be confined

Scare in Novelda. The flames have devoured an apartment on Colón Street, in a four-story building, leaving it completely burned and affected. The amount of flames and smoke was such that the neighbors of the block had to confine themselves in their homes.

Practically the house has been completely destroyed, except for some rooms that were saved because they were closed. However, not everything is bad; firefighters managed to save a 'bull terrier'. They had to give the dog oxygen to revive it; it is now in good health.

According to the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium (CPB), the events occurred in an apartment on Colón Street in Novelda at 7:40 p.m. A second-floor apartment in a four-story building caught fire, forcing neighbors to confine themselves due to the large amount of smoke that affected the rest of the block.

The house was practically burned down, but firefighters managed to extinguish the fire around 10:10 p.m. on Thursday. Only some rooms could be saved; the rest were heavily affected and consumed by flames.

According to the CPB, a command unit, a heavy urban pump, and an aerial ladder were used in the firefighting efforts. Additionally, a sergeant, a corporal, and six firefighters from the Elda station participated in the work.
