Alicante is set to experience the most luminous and refined morning, acoustically speaking, of the summer. The chamber orchestra Virtuós Mediterrani will hold an extraordinary concert, with a charitable nature, at midday this Sunday, July 6th, in the iconic Salón Imperio of the Real Liceo Casino.

As is customary, this new musical event by Virtuós Mediterrani will combine the elegance of the classical repertoire with the charitable spirit of an important cause. The entire proceeds from the concert will be donated, through the Rotary Club Costa Blanca, to the 'Super Niños' project to support child oncology patients.

Thus, Virtuós Mediterrani will surprise with a new evocative concert, 'A classic summer morning', which aims to "refresh the body and soul," assures its director, Gerardo Estrada. On this occasion, the programme pays tribute to the classical period with three gems of the European repertoire.

These pieces include the 'Veneziana Symphony' by Antonio Salieri -the eternal and misunderstood contemporary of Mozart-, the 'Cello Concerto in D Major' by Joseph Haydn, and the 'Divertimento No. 11 in D Major' by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

The baton, on this special occasion, will be in the hands of the German maestro Marcus Hartmann, a prominent figure in European orchestral conducting. Trained at the prestigious Mozarteum in Salzburg, he has conducted on stages across the old continent, and his presence in Alicante represents a "unique opportunity to enjoy a fresh, precise, and deeply musical interpretation."

Additionally, this Virtuós Mediterrani concert will feature the participation of cellist Romani Cana as a guest soloist. A Cuban musician based in Spain for over two decades, he is the principal cellist of this Alicante chamber orchestra and has a solid track record in the artistic and interpretative field.

Tickets for this summer and charitable concert by Virtuós Mediterrani can be purchased on their website, at the Rogel Music store on Pintor Cabrera street, and by calling 637780924.
