Classical music returns to the city of Alicante. Virtuós Mediterrani is gearing up to start the concert season with its new season, which will be inaugurated on October 5th with the "thrilling virtuosity of the Baroque period".

The chamber orchestra, led by Gerardo Estrada, will feature a one-and-a-half-hour repertoire highlighting compositions by Vivaldi, Telemann, Purcell, and Bach, where spectators can "rediscover gems" from this period, "one of the most exciting in music history".

The first performance of Virtuós Mediterrani's fourth season will kick off on October 5th at 8 PM at the Conference Hall of the Alicante Medical Association. The audition will feature soloists Manuel Latorre and José Quesada in Vivaldi's 'Concerto for Two Trumpets and Orchestra in C Major'.

This will highlight Baroque "in its fullest expression" through other "iconic" works such as Vivaldi's 'La Folia', Telemann's suite 'La Bizarre', Purcell's 'Suite from Abdelazer (The Moor's Revenge)', and Bach's 'Symphony in B-flat Major H658'.

Tickets for the inaugural concert of Virtuós Mediterrani's fourth season are available on their website, on Eventbrite, and at Rogel Music store on Pintor Cabrera Street in Alicante.
