Virtue and Weakness

We revisit the story of Ruiz Mateos, his Superman persona, and his infamous "I'll hit you, Boyer" incident. Known for the 'Aldamazo' and his flamboyant displays, Umbral once wrote that after the expropriation of Rumasa, Ruiz Mateos became a folkloric figure. In a similar vein, Ayuso is a folkloric character, never one to go unnoticed. Her attitude is both her greatest strength and her significant weakness. She declared she wouldn't wear the earpiece, spoke in Basque through Pradales, and left, only to return later.

What she hadn't announced was her retort to Mónica García when the latter attempted to greet her with a kiss on each cheek. "Are you going to greet a murderer?" she asked, referring to the nursing home deaths. They conversed for a while until someone from protocol intervened to end the interruption. There was no expectation that this conference of presidents would address any community issues. However, there is always anticipation that Ayuso will make headlines, both expected and unexpected.
