Violent Fire in a Car Workshop in Catral

A violent fire has affected several cars parked inside a car workshop in Catral. The smoke inside the building was so dense that it had to be extracted using mechanical fans.

According to the Alicante Provincial Fire Consortium (CPB), the fire occurred at 11:06 PM this Thursday on Barcelona Street, in the Catral Industrial Park. Emergency services received an alert about a fire affecting a car workshop in the area.

The flames produced a lot of smoke inside the workshop, affecting the vehicles parked inside. The amount of smoke was so great that, once extinguished at 1:15 AM, the personnel had to use mechanical ventilation to extract all the gases caused by the fire.

In the firefighting tasks, the consortium used a command unit, a heavy urban rural pump, and a water tender. Additionally, several personnel attended, including a sergeant, two corporals, and five firefighters from the Crevillente and Elche stations.
