A 54-year-old resident of Villena was seriously injured on Monday following a road accident. The incident occurred in the town of Mosqueruela, Teruel, when the man from Alicante veered off the left side of the road while riding his motorcycle and collided with a guardrail (metal safety barrier).

The road departure happened at kilometre 46.085 of the A-1701 at 11 a.m. The causes of the accident are currently unknown, although the Road Traffic Accident Investigation Team (EIS) of the Teruel Civil Guard Traffic Subsector is investigating the incident.

ROAD ACCIDENT, RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY TO A MOTORCYCLIST.

Around 11:00 a.m. today, the 16th, in the municipality of Mosqueruela (Teruel), at kilometre 46.085 of the A-1701 (Rubielos de Mora to Castellón province border), a road accident occurred involving a motorcycle veering off the left side and colliding with a guardrail. The motorcycle was driven by a 54-year-old man from Villena (Alicante), who was seriously injured.

The causes are being investigated by the EIS Subsector of Teruel.
