Villena Offers Theatrical Tours of the Historic Centre to Celebrate its 500th Anniversary

Villena is celebrating the 500th anniversary of its City Title this year, an event that will fill the municipality with activities. One of these activities includes a series of theatrical tours through the Historic Centre of the city, with four daily tours on April 26 and 27, as well as May 10 and 11. Participation in this hour-long tour can be reserved at www.turismovillena.com.

The activity allows participants to learn about the historical context of Villena in the 16th century through a tour of the urban core of the current city, including its main historical buildings such as the Atalaya Castle, and the churches of Santa María and Santiago.

The theatrical performance involves a staged game by different actors in which participants search for the lost city title, giving this family-friendly activity its name: "1525 Villena and the Lost Title".

The Councillor for Tourism, Paula García, has reminded that the four tours on Saturday will take place from 6 PM to 10 PM, and on Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM. To ensure smooth operation and maintain a comfortable and agile dynamic for participants, the maximum capacity per session has been set at 25 people.
