Finally, Villena will have safe and adapted access to the waste treatment plants on the Caudete road, suitable for heavy vehicles.
The Mayor of Villena, Fulgencio Cerdán, and the Director General of Infrastructure, María José Martínez Ruzafa, have reached a definitive technical solution this Wednesday for the access to the Vaersa and Paprec plants on the CV-809 road that connects with Caudete. The mayor expressed great satisfaction with the final decision that establishes a permanent access, which is the responsibility of the companies involved.
This proposal unlocks a short-term situation that will improve safety on this road section, which experiences significant heavy vehicle traffic. Cerdán stated, "It is true that we had differences over possible solutions, but in the end, we reached an agreement that satisfies everyone, providing a solution and ensuring safe access to the waste treatment plants."
For the mayor, "the most important thing is to have an agreement on the table and resolve one of the issues the city has been facing for too many years." Cerdán thanked the Conselleria's representative for her sensitivity and commitment to reaching a consensus agreement.
After the meeting held in Valencia, the Town Hall will approach the companies to initiate the administrative process that will allow the works to start as soon as possible.
